Methodology in Field Arch

This course provides an overview of current methods employed in field archaeology and an overview of their development over time. Focus will include methods employed in excavation, pedestrian survey, and underwater archaeology. We will explore methodological developments in field research across a number of different regions and sub-fields of archaeology to assess how and why particular techniques have developed and consider what the future of field archaeology may be.
